Road
system is not in good condition, specially before summer season
because all the rain destroys most of the secondary roads
in rural areas out of San Jose.
At summer it is not necessary to have a 4WD to battle with
mud but you must be aware that this type of vehicles are higher
and powerful than regular cars. Most of the roads have pathholes
problems, even in the main cities, that is why a 4WD is a
vehicle that gives you more stability and capacity to stand
rude road conditions.
