After
enjoying the wonders of the Monteverde rainy forest and its attractiveness, we
descend from the highlands towards Abangares, to connect ourselves with the
inter-American highway. At this point, we can take our route towards the
northern or the Southern Pacific. Taking the route towards the north, we arrive
to...
Guanacaste is the province with the most diverse systems:
Volcanoes, beaches, Mangroves, Canals, Islands and
wild fauna, etc.
Not too far, in
Bahía Salinas
is the
Hotel Ecoplaya Resort
, where we share from the rooms the souns of the waves crashing
on the beach. Its location help us to enjoy the sun, sand, and
sea every minute.

It is located in Bahia Salinas, Playa
La Coyotera, at the northwestern side of the province
of Guanacaste. Surrounded by the Santa
Rosa and Rincon de la Vieja National Parks, we are a
delightful view, offering the perfect combination between the
refined and modern architecture and the most exuberant natural
beauty.
Our Resort represents a new option to relax and rest in a well-known
region for the intense ecological protection. Temperature is
warm all year round, 90F (32C) and the warmest months are
between November and April. The rain presence happens between
May and November, being this region one of driest of the
country.
Leaving behind the Hotel Ecoplaya Resort, the

5 kilometers before arriving at Liberia, head
of province, in the zone named Curubandé, we
turn left following our way to Hacienda Guachipelín,
located at 17 kilometers in the Las Pailas area. Hacienda Lodge Guachipelín is a cattle-raising
property dedicated to the young of meat cattle and working
horses. In addition, it is dedicated to the protection of the
dry tropical forest and to the commercial reforestation. In the
last years, it has begun developing within activities like the
ecological tourism and adventure.
We are focused in being a self-sufficient community that uses
ecologically correct methods of energy production. For example
the water heaters, use solar energy, the electricity is produced
by a water wheel. Nowadays, a methane biodigestor works to feed
the kitchens of the hotel.
As far as natural attractions, we have rivers, waterfalls,
lagoons, thermal waters, volcanic mud, tropical forests, birds,
mammals, reptiles, insects, and more. In addition, one is due to
mention that in the National Park, innumerable beauties exist,
more rivers, waterfalls, craters of boiling mud, thermal fumes,
and waters, the crater of the volcano and a lagoon in the top of
the mountain.
We will continue up to place called Belen, we will turn right
at the highway, which properly shows the way Tamarindo. Before
arriving to the beach, a detour takes you to...
Something makes us think about place taken out of a dream:
When we speak of Playa Tamarindo, we can be sure that
the adventure will soon begin. Its extensive beach, where
white, gray, and black sands converge, allows us to enjoy
the dusks to fullness. In the center of the place, we find
Hotel El Milagro; located at only 270 km of San
José and 70 km from the center of Liberia.
We go back to the highway from Tamarindo to Belen,
arriving at this point, we take a right and continue our
course to the city of Nicoya, following up to the
intersection that will take us to the bridge over the
Tempisque river, crossing it we arrived at the
inter-American highway, and we take a right heading to the
Harbor of Puntarenas
